Argh, my todo list.
I hope to find some time to that 'below' problem.
I already know what it is, but actually forgot that it is still to do...
More will come ...
... now a big, fat sheet of paper with that reminder on my desk :)

Anyway: If that elevator movement works I think you are moving the elevators
extremely slow?
From what I have done here, I would expect that the aircraft is unnaturally
pressed against the elevator surface during the whole upwards movement. Not
only during the short acceleration phase. Also I guess that in the down
direction, the aircraft will be unnaturally high above the surface. If the
speed is high enough, I expect the aircraft to jump in the down direction.
Also that effects must be still framerate dependent ...
Can you try out with higher elevator speeds and/or throttled framerates, if
you can observe that problem?

The problem is that the elevator surface speed relative to the carrier is not
tracked for the FDM's physics.
What I aim to do here, is to build up the groundcache into a tree structure of
possibly moving nodes. Each node in itself cannot move, it can only move wrt
it's parent. That will make it easier to use an octree for (ground)
intersection testing within such a node. For the elevator, that means that
this is a child part of the carrier which will just add it's own speed to the
carriers speed.
Than, the FDM's will be more happy about that.

   Greetings

        Mathias
