If you make it a fronted to a SQL database everyone will be able to use it, not just windows users. In fact, if you are just dealing with a name, lat and long it shouldn't be too hard to make it support a csv file, though it would be a performance hit if you have a big DB. The most user friendly thing might just be for it to get it's data straight from $FG_ROOT/Navaids/. Bottom line is that there are a lot of *nix users in this community, and I doubt if any will use your program. This is too bad, because it sounds like a very useful piece of software.
