Updating your cvs checkout ("cvs up") will suffice. So does
replacing the (whole) tiny_xdr.cxx file with the one from cvs,
of course. Updating the whole *source tree* isn't necessary,
but a good idea if you are using CVS already, anyway.
Also note that this is a temporary fix. It's still unclear why
the problem really occurs. It wasn't a bug in tiny_xdr.cxx (as
I had wrongly claimed). It's rather a compiler bug or at least
an unexpected compilation result. This will likely be changed
again, but it works for now, and now that it's identified, it's
not a big challenge any more.
