Hi there,

Sid Boyce thus wrote...
I go to 'make' the compile gets most of the way thru, but at the final
linking it fails with the message...

/usr/lib/gcc/i586-suse-linux/4.0.2/../../../../i586-suse-linux/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/local/lib/libsgnasal.a when searching for -lsgnasal /usr/lib/gcc/i586-suse-linux/4.0.2/../../../../i586-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lsgnasal

make[2]: *** [fgfs] Error 1

That should be part of SimGear, seems you need an upgrade of SimGear.
SIMGEAR/source/simgear/nasal/libsgnasal.a

Thanks. I had grabbed the correct simgear, but seems my glut.h
was at fault. I upgraded that and flightgear compiled, but then
I ran into the 'GlutCursor' issue. I recompiled with SDL support
and the sim starts, but sound is a bit weird...some sounds (flaps,
gear, wind) are OK, but some sounds (whine, jet, rumble) are not
to be heard. They're there, but the audio subsystem doesn't play
them...thats true of most default aircraft. :-(

Kind regards,

Chris Wilkinson, Brisbane, Australia.
