Hi Ron,
just one addition from my personal experience:
With the old FG version 0.9.8 I had some trouble with suddenly "rolling"
a/c which I could not explain to myself until I noticed that though I am
using separate pedals (with own XML file) the "rocker"-switch of my
Saitek X45 joystick was also assigned to the ruder. I had *deleted* the
assignment out of the XML file (axis n=3) but *though* it was
recognized anyway.
This problem was solved with CVS versions and FG version 0.9.9 but until
then I had to carefully watch this unwished second assignment to be
centered (neutralized) so not to disturb the functions of my rudder-pedals.
BTW, compared to other sims rudder application causes a heavy roll
tendency, I don't know whether this is more realistic or less due to
lacking real-life experiences, I just accept it.
Regards
Georg EDDW

Check that your joystick is aligned properly. Torque and P-factor,
etc. will
roll/yaw to the left - not the right. It sounds like your joystick is
messed
up. I don't see these.

My joystick is perfectly aligned. No crosswind either.
