Just an idea:
create an additional field in the HUD that shows you the value of a
property (e.g. /my_own_stuff/cpu_temp). Then start FGFS with telnet
support and create a little script that regularily updates that property
via telnet.
That's doable w(o any change to FGFS itself :)
