August 28,29,30 San Francisco, California

FlightGear will have booth #362 in the .Org booth at the Moscone Convention
Center in San Francisco. This is at the end of one of the .Org booth rows,
giving us enhanced visibility as people come past the Pavilion area.

Are you considering coming to the show, to meet other FGFS users and collect
information/freebies from the hundreds of companies exhibiting at the show ?
This coming weekend is my last chance to pre-issue official exhibitor badges,
so let me know you name, preferred e-mail and postal mailing address.
If you don't want junk mail, I can put the address as my PO Box and recycle
it all, but I can't stop them selling names and sending the stuff out (sigh).

The feature presentations include a review of how DreamWorks uses Linux for
doing feature films like Shrek, the golden penguin bowl quiz and a panel with
Linus and several other major project leads (not Curt) about their status.

The booth line-up currently has me, Curt, Trisha and Jim.

Caveat: The Moscone website says that they have no parking. Sounds unlikely.
However, e-mail reveals that there is nearby parking, but at expensive rates.
The people from the Moscone recommend using public transport/park-n-ride
and there are several transit stops nearby.

About 20,000 people are expected to attend the convention/expo. The more
people we have, the smoother it goes and the more time we'll have for chatting.
If you expect to bring friends/spouses who don't want to work in our booth,
they can sign themselves up for free exhibits-only passes at the website
using priority code "LWEXP" and booth "362". Anybody who is considering going
should be signed up by the coming weekend, because those free passes will
cost money on the day if you decide to attend at the last minute.
