The default configuration reverses the axis because that's how most
consumer joysticks seem to work (including all three that I've owned).
It's easy enough to change for special cases like yours; just add this
to your $HOME/.fgfsrc or the equivalent file under Windows:
--prop:/input/js/axis[1]/binding/factor=1.0
