That should work, but nobody remembers what's in FG-0.9.4.
You may need to find a version of libpthread from the same vintage as
v0.9.4 (or do some code modification to make v0.9.4 work with the latest
pthread? Or perhaps there's something else going on. I'm not convinced
that threading was fully supported with cygwin back then? I recall
there was some reason we left threading default to off.
