I was having a problem with slow frame rates (3-5) with FGFS 9.9 when the
aircraft was traveling certain directions or the look view was looking certain
directions. I solved that by downloading the latest drivers for my video card
(ATI ALL in Wonder 9000 Pro)and doing all of my Windows updates.

Now my frame rates are *outstanding* and often near 90 FPS! Flying FGFS has
never been so fun. I got a copy of Microsoft Flight Sim for Christmas and
installed it but removed it today because I just don't get as much bang from it
as I do my FGFS.

My problem is that now I have no runway lighting! I uninstalled the new ATI
drivers and reinstalled the original ones and that restores my runway lighting
but I return to slow frame rates. So I have a choice...slow frame rates when
looking West and runway lighting *or* dynamite frame rates and no runway lights
at night. :-(

Has anyone encountered this problem before? Is this a problem I have to live
with or can I get high frame rates and runway lighting at the same time?

Thanks for the help!

Brian
