I've now committed an update to the UFO's object placing feature. One can now add an "unlimited" number of models, chosen from a list dialog, and in minutes create beautiful sceneries like this (yes, it's KSFO ;-)
http://members.aon.at/mfranz/scenery-editor.jpg [40 kB] Just start the ufo like you used to, then open the model dialog (m-key), click on the terrain as often as you like. The last placed object can be adjusted with the Tab-key dialog. You can also select a previously placed object with Space+click. The nearest object will start to blink for a second. Now you can adjust this one. You can press Backspace to remove the selected object. (Also see help dialog -> ?-key) The d-key "dumps" a list of objects to the console (less data than before, I'll soon re-add the missing), the e-key ("export") writes file ~/.fgfs/ufo-model-export.xml. (Note the new name!) You can pre-set a particular model with --prop:model=... and you can give a list of $FG_ROOT subdirs (separated with comma) where the ufo should look for available models with --prop:source=... (default: Model) For example: $ fgfs --aircraft=ufo --prop:model=Models/Airport/radar.xml \ --prop:source=Model,Scenery/Objects/w130n30/w123n37 TODO: tidy up, re-add dumped info, whatever Known problems: - the m-key dialog insists on using a black font. Hard to read -- consider to use the default GUI style. - the listbox doesn't play well with the GUI layouter, that's why the m-key dialog has no close or exit button. Use the 'return' key. m. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
