I have tried saving and loading without involving the pause. It works
fine with CVS.
I guess the key is not to save while paused.

Hi everyone,
I have had a number of flights in the past, which I thought I would
want to continue from where I left. So I have saved them from
File->Save menu.
Today I tried to continue with a few of them , and could not get any
of them to work.
Am I correctly expecting that if I start FG, and that do File->Load
and enter saved file's path?
I also tried --config=<saved-file-name> with even less success.
Up until last two weeks I had used 0.9.9, and since then I am on CVS
built FG.
I have files saved from both, and I tried same version save/load as
well as cross ones.
I found that CVS version never put up any reasonable window:
CVS version with a file --saved when I was flying west bound above
north shore of lake Erie just turned from Niagara river--, came with a
Cessna at the end of a runway upside down and partly buried. When I
checked from properties tree, I see lat/lon of 37.6135/-122.3572. I
verified that these are the default start position at KSFO.
CVS version with a file saved by 0.9.9 also started at the same
position as I described above. This time the original location was up
Hudson River about 1 hr from New York City.
0.9.9 fares somewhat better, in that with both files it came back with
the correct scenery in display. But my hopes of continuing was dashed
when I realize that I cannot un-pause the simulation.
I am running Linux, 2.6.11 kernel, and open source drivers for my ATI
Radeon 7500.
Hope to hear some ideas on this...
Thanks,
