Hi Curt,
now my head is really hurting....(and not because I am also working in Maya
and trying to understand NURBS curves, lofting and making detailed models
using both...), how do we tell whether the models on the Flight Gear site
are compatible with the latest vrsion?
I understand most are but quite a few arent....sorry to be a pain.

Aircraft can be given specific version numbers if the author chooses to do
that, otherwise they are given a YYYYMMDD version number that corresponds
to the most recent day that model was updated or modified.
