Hi,

I decided to go out to our local Target and buy a Logitech Attack 3.
It has 10 buttons, and a Z-axis control for the throttle. It's a great
joystick, but in order to get full button functionality with Flight Gear,
you need to download the Logitech Gaming Profiler from their website. (Link
to the Logitech Attack 3 joystick software:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/US/EN,CRID=1786,content
id=7309) Anyways, use the profiler, set your preferences, (The JS utility
that comes with FG for some reason does not work with this joystick) and fly
happily, with the satisfaction of being able to use every single button. If
you don't bother getting the profiler if you buy the joystick, you'll only
be able to use the throttle and the Stick, None of the buttons. So it
should be in your best interest if you should get the Logitech Attack 3
joystick to get the Logitech Gaming Profiler. Oh yeah, the joystick is only
$20.00, a bargain for the quality of this joystick. That's my suggestion,
It's the best joystick I've ever owned. If you have any more questions,
just e-mail me.

Subject: [Flightgear-users] Joystick suggestion request

Hi,
I'm considering buying an MS Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro for FG. Is
it worth? Any experience with that one? There's an .xml configuration
file ready for it into FG's Input dir, does that mean someone had a good
time with it?

Any suggestion is welcome.

Roberto
