System:
Windows XP Home Edition SP 2

1.00 GB of RAM
Board: First International Computer, Inc. K8-800T MAX PCB 1.x
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 12/15/2003
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900XT with OpenGL 2.0 support and latest drivers (9.3.71)
Creative SB Audigy

Installation of v0.9.10 (via downloaded binary) seemed to proceed smoothly.

Starting up for the first time from the desktop shortcut afforded the
Flight Gear Wizard as expected. Clicking RUN initiated a splash screen
in an aqua monochrome color which persisted even after the scenery
loaded. However, changing the color quality of the display from 32-bit
to 16-bit restored normal colors the next time the program was launched.

More importantly, the frame rate is below 1 fps. The program seems to
recognize the Thrustmaster Top Gun Fox 2 Pro USB joystick but because of
the low frame rate there is no real control.

The system works very well with MS FS2004, achieving frames rates well
over 30 fps even with the most demanding settings.

Flight Gear looks very interesting and I would like to get it up and
running properly. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Steve Roman
