No, you got that wrong. Nobody will ask for permission. They'll then
just start up fgfs and make a non-antialiased screenshot of the 
c172p in KSFO with default weather. All will look ugly and similar.
I've seen enough of such fgfs screenshots.

There's really only one possibility, if we want to address this
"problem" at all: Put a simple statement on the fgfs page, under
a license link or something: "Screenshots are copyright Curt Olson.
Permission granted to use in FlightGear promotion or reviews. Further
permission on request." Then one could contact the few abusers
(the *one* abuser?) first and if s/he doesn't comply, ask ebay
for taking the offer down.

But that's really something that the fgfs developers should decide.
