You can edit your ~/.fgfs/autosave.xml.
Change
<point-sprites type="bool">true</point-sprites>
to
<point-sprites type="bool">false</point-sprites>
On windows this file lives in
Documents and Settings/(user)/Application Data/flightgear.org/autosave.xml
