Hi Brian,

I never work with the keys as we have such nice full 3D-cockpits with 
clickable hotspots.

PA 24-250
Start pressing "CTRL + C", then you'll see all hotspots you can click on.
Look down and select the fuel tank. Look forward left and engage the 
main-switch and the fuel-pump switch. Mixture should be full rich 
(position at the panel).
Maybe Priming is the realistic way to proceed, I never did it. Just 
start the engines with the ignition lock.
Switch on all other stuff you need. Release the parking brake (also 
clickable). All should work nice now. Press "CTRL + C" again to toggle 
the hotspots.
