It was not even set to any value (it did not appear in the property browser, and I assume that getprop returned »null« for it). Now, I have changed it to the installation home using the above option. After this, all the startup error messages disappeared. But the keyboard problem still remains. I can fly with the mouse now, but I can not use features that can be accessed with the keyboard only.
