From my earliest days, I've always admired the Flying Tigers and how they faced adversity with determination, limited resources, and a kind of anger to be one of the best-known outfits of WW2. And I just learned the other day that the last of them died.
Understand; my dad's friend picked up a leaflet dropped over the Tigers. I've held onto it for 35 years, and I'm hoping to put it into a museum. I've been enjoying a documentary of theirs for several weeks, now. I can't figure out the flight characteristics; I don't know how to decorate the finished model, but if someone can get me started with a base P-40D model, I'll happily outfit the model with all the planes I know, not just Tex Hill, Boyington and Ed Rector. I have a book on the subject; I'd like to build the (non-flying, plastic) models of all three squadrons, but I don't have space, time or money to make that happen. What I'd like to do is permit FlightGear to offer a historic set of liveries for any Tiger one would wish to fly. I just don't know where to start. I'm on Linux; does that mean textures are gonna be wrong, without any fall-back plan? -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Brian Fahrländer Christian, Conservative, and Technomad Evansville, IN ICQ: 5119262 AOL/Yahoo/GoogleTalk: WheelDweller ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
