Hi Chris,
I have just stumbled upon SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) and it occurs to me that if we had … 1. A python SVG to Floatcanvas converter 2. Good property support for each object on the canvas We could leverage the support of open source SVG front ends like Inkscape (HYPERLINK "http://www.inkscape.org/"http://www.inkscape.org/) for drawing with, and use Floatcanvas as a python display tool. As python would have access to the properties of the canvas items, animation or state changes could easily be coded in, making the canvas dynamic. I had nearly finished my modest Floatcanvas GUI and I was just pondering adding component scaling when I figured that there had to be another way. As a front end tool ‘inkscape’ looks to be that way. Have you had any further thoughts about adding property bags to your core code? Strikes me that if you could do that and I work on the SVG to Floatcanvas reader we could have a serious tool addition here. What say you ? - David No virus found in this outgoing message.
