I can confirm the described behavior on Windows and Linux.

Greg, did you comment out that "data->scroll->redraw();" at line 29? The
posted source file contains it, which makes it work okay.

I also tried adding

  scroll->box(fltk::DOWN_BOX);

at line 40 (before scroll.begin();), but this didn't change anything.
