[STR New] Link: http://www.fltk.org/str.php?L2622 Version: 1.3-current I tested with my older Cygwin installation, this is gcc 3.4.4, with both the Cygwin and MinGW compilers w/o error. The same applies to a recent MinGW installation with gcc 4.5.2. I can also test later (tonight or tomorrow) with a newer Cygwin installation with the same options as the OP used (this is probably also gcc 4.5.x). Note that these options use the MinGW compiler and runtime system. Manolo, if this cast is so critical among different compilers, wouldn't a simple cast to (void *) on the RHS (as it is done now) solve this, too, for *all* systems (i.e. w/o any #if ?)
