Thanks for the information. I am now only doing incremental updates to the
docs, so this is no problem for me. However, I would appreciat, if this
would happen during the next 7 hours (if possible), because I want to
fork a devopment branch today. It would make things a bit easier for me,
if your update happened before, but I could also live with it the other
way.

What does "for next batch modifications list" mean in this context?

I do also propose that Doxyfile should be moved from the root dir
to the documentation dir. I'm ready to check this in (already tested).
But I didn't want to surprise all the other developers without a
warning. Your opinions?

Rationale:
(1) The (root) Makefile changes to the documentation dir and
does make there. documentation/Makefile needs an update, but that
is not needed now, although, if you like it, I could do it, but IMHO
doxygen should not (yet) be in the default target).

Sorry for "hijacking" this thread, but I think it's related, and the
current doxygen developers could answer both questions together.
