> Printing, precisely, is an item of the FLTK 1.3 roadmap! If I understand the dates in the RFE correctly, it's a new item. And that's my point. In the meantime all of the older STRs are just sitting there stopping 1.3.0 from being released, and have been since the initial discussions and push for 1.3.0 back in 2008.
And with the latest thread about using modern C++ features, there is a risk that people will rush in because it involves new code rather than debugging old code. If such new code replaces large swathes of old code with something much more maintainable, solving the old STRs or making them easier to fix, then I'm all for it. I'm only concerned about it being an academic exercise with little short term benefit. Yes there are exciting things happening, and I really appreciate all the effort that people are putting in (much more that I have, or can at the moment) but I think there's a danger of losing focus. This is just my 2c worth. Please take it with a pinch of salt because I don't think I've expressed myself very well.
