I don't think any structural changes are envisaged now for utf8 support?

I mostly works, I think, and we are only talking about tweaks and bug
fixes, for the most part at present?

(Like, we probably can't really fix the text editor slowness, but we can
make it count utf8 chars properly, that sort of thing.)

Or I could be wrong about that...
