I thought it was just using Ghostscript, so it *should* work, but I dunno (and 
I have never even tried cups-PDF since on Mac OS X we already have a "save as 
pdf" button in the print dialog...)

This is using Ghostscript to convert to raster and then to PCL via Gutenprint.
