I thought I could answer your question, but since the inmates took over the asylum, X11 seems to have shattered into a thousand pieces. On my F8 box, most of the requisite X11 headers seem to be in package "libX11-devel". All the X11-related packages appear to have the string "X11" in them. Doesn't Ubuntu feature some clicky-clicky way to search packages?
