There are still people who work on FLTK 2 (read the SVN log). Both FLTK 1.3 and FLTK 2 are in-development, and both have advantages/disadvantages.
Personally, I think FLTK 2 is much better designed. It is also well-organized. In particular I like the fact that FLTK 2 encapsulates everything into the fltk:: namespace instead of using Fl_ and fl_ prefixes. Some "wow features" of the "new" FLTK 1.3 branch FLTK 2 had years ago... Clearly two branches will go their own ways, borrowing ideas from each other. I am quite convinced that FLTK 2 and FLTK 1.3 will never merge because they obviously divert from each other (other developers should correct me if i am wrong here). Moreover, the community is splitted (no matter how some developers tend to belive it is not so). So my suggestion is - pick whatever works for you. :) _______________________________________________ fltk mailing list [email protected] http://lists.easysw.com/mailman/listinfo/fltk
