Yep, and for fltk user (and/or program developer) questions, please
post in fltk.general (fltk.development is for fltk library development
only).

I believe rxvt is deprecated (for MinGW/msys, as well as Cygwin, BTW).

Yes, that's what I can recommend, although you can get some problems
with terminal input/output, maybe with pipes and such (I always use it).

The MinGW folks also recommend console2. You could also take a look
at that.
