Updated on May 25th, 2021: We have recently been made aware of certain Data
Loss Prevention plugins that do not have add-ins replacements available.
This would block core workflows for our customers that use these plugins.
Thus, we will no longer block all Injection-based plugins. We have instead,
worked with Apple, to only block certain plugins in the next major macOS
release (12.x). This version will likely go live sometime in the Fall of
2021. Please continue to migrate to the supported add-ins if you use either
Zoom or Webex.

We are reaching out to customers who use injection-based native plugins so
that they are informed and can work on a plan to migrate to the Office Web
Add-ins available through AppSource, Centralized Deployment, or sideloading.

With the release of MacOS Mojave and Catalina, Apple blocked most
injection-based plugins from running due to security & stability concerns.
With this change, Microsoft and Apple will also block the Zoom & Webex
plugins in Outlook for Mac for both Microsoft 365 and Outlook 2019. In
order to continue using services like Zoom and Webex, you will need to
migrate your users to the supported add-ins from the Microsoft Store.

In the past, you were able to use injection-based native plugins in Outlook
for Mac on any macOS version. With this change, once you update to the next
major macOS version, Zoom & Webex injection-based plugins will no longer
work. For example, if you use Webex to create online meetings in Outlook
for Mac, you will no longer be able to do so with the injection-based
native plugin. You will need to download and install the supported add-ins
from the Microsoft App Store.

I'm attempting to download and install the Cisco_Webex_Add-On for an online
class. The file will download and the install icon will show up, and it
will do an install but I can't find it. It hasn't shown up in the safari
extensions either. Help please I need this for a class.

-Once you click on the Webex download to install it a error will show up,
click the ok or more to trash button and look at the Security and Privacy
window you left open and there should be a new button to push to allow
Webex to open, click the Webex download again, and click open anyways and
it should all work and show up in the Safari Extensions in Safari's
Preferences!

Cisco Webex Scheduler for Microsoft 365 makes it easy for you to schedule,
start, and join Webex meetings and Personal Room meetings directly from
Microsoft Outlook. When it's time to join, everyone can click the link in
the calendar invitation or they can join from a video system or phone. You
must have a paid Cisco Webex Meetings host account as well as a Microsoft
365 account. If you don't have a Webex Meetings account, go to
www.webex.com to sign up for an account for you and your company.

- Although Webex Event Center will automatically be set up when you host a
meeting, you can save time by setting up the Webex Desktop Application, on
Windows or Mac, before the meeting. See the links above!

- Participants on a Webex Event Center session do not need to install the
Webex Desktop Application-they only need to accept and run the plugin for
their browser, when prompted. However, they may install the application if
they wish to do so. See the links above!

The example below shows what Webex Meetings looks like with the plugin
disconnected. Note that in the top left it now only shows Webex rather than
Webex VDI and the health checker shows that the virtual channel in not
connected. This can be for many reasons including client/plugin version
mismatch, lack of plugin installed locally or that the plugin is not
enabled which is how we were able to recreate this scenario.

You can download the most recent version of the Webex VDI app and plugin
from the Webex link below. On the version download page you will need to
download the Webex VDI client from "HVD Installer" column as well as the
appropriate plugin under the "Thin-client Plugin" column.

If your Mac meets minimum requirements, your Webex desktop app probably
crashes because you may have downloaded a corrupted installation file or
had an incomplete installation process. Consider uninstalling Webex, then
download and install the latest version available online to fix this
problem.

If you are using Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite or later, your Safari may block
some plugins, including Webex. This may cause Webex to hang or crash when
joining a meeting. To make Webex work in Safari, you will need to manage
your Safari plugins. To do this:

Want to record a Webex meeting? In this article, we'll show how to record
on Webex and where to download a Webex recorder from. Explore the screen
recorders on our list and choose the one you like best.

There are now even online-based solutions for recording webinars. Some
require downloading their apps, and others work by just visiting their
site. You'd want to set the recording mode, the format of the video, and
start recording. The films recorded in this way are saved on the hard drive.

Since only extensions and apps for the Chrome browser can be installed on
the Chromebook, you must download the appropriate app from the Chrome web
store. Follow the step below to make a Cisco Webex recording.

You can access your recordings online. To do this, sign in to your Webex
account and go to *My Webex*, then to *My Files*, and select *My Recordings*.
Recordings are stored on the server until you delete them, and you can
download them from there. However, it may be easier to record the meeting
with Movavi Screen Recorder and save it on your computer right away.

Click here to download the *Company Portal for Windows*. This application
can be used to download and install software like eduroam wireless,
Microsoft Office, and Matlab onto your Windows laptop or desktop.

Installation is very simple. 1) Plug the USB cord into your computer 2)
download and install the Busylight software for Webex. Download here Once
installed your Webex presence will synchronize with the Busylight.

Freeware programs *can be downloaded used free of charge and without any
time limitations*. Freeware products can be used free of charge for both
personal and professional (commercial use).

This license is commonly used for video games and it *allows users to
download and play the game for free*. Basically, a product is offered Free
to Play (Freemium) and the user can decide if he wants to pay the money
(Premium) for additional features, services, virtual or physical goods that
expand the functionality of the game. In some cases, ads may be show to the
users.

This software is *no longer available for the download*. This could be due
to the program being *discontinued*, having a *security issue* or for other
reasons.

Running it in the Teams Web app actually works too, what the app is doing
is just firing a link to webextel:+123123123 and then the browser redirects
that to the installed Webex app. Obviously, you need the Webex desktop app
installed and signed in on the PC.

Yes, you can still generate a QR code even if the event is in Webex. To get
the code, you just need to go to www.slido.com and log in with your Webex
credentials and open the event connected to your meeting. You can then
display the QR code in Present mode or you can download it.

Zotero offers free plugins for three word processing platforms: Microsoft
Word, LibreOffice, and Google Docs. These plugins help you insert citations
as you write and then generate a complete bibliography from the citations
in your document.

ID: CVE-2017-3823
Title: *Cisco WebEx Google Chrome Extension Remote Code Execution
Vulnerability*
Vendor: Cisco
Description: An issue was discovered in the Cisco WebEx Extension before
1.0.7 on Google Chrome, the ActiveTouch General Plugin Container before 106
on Mozilla Firefox, the GpcContainer Class ActiveX control plugin before
10031.6.2017.0126 on Internet Explorer, and the Download Manager ActiveX
control plugin before 2.1.0.10 on Internet Explorer. A vulnerability in
these Cisco WebEx browser extensions could allow an unauthenticated, remote
attacker to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the affected
browser on an affected system. This vulnerability affects the browser
extensions for Cisco WebEx Meetings Server and Cisco WebEx Centers (Meeting
Center, Event Center, Training Center, and Support Center) when they are
running on Microsoft Windows. The vulnerability is a design defect in an
application programing interface (API) response parser within the
extension. An attacker that can convince an affected user to visit an
attacker-controlled web page or follow an attacker-supplied link with an
affected browser could exploit the vulnerability. If successful, the
attacker could execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the affected
browser.
CVSS v2 Base Score: 9.3 (AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C)

Some third-party apps work in concert with a given service or program.
Evaer, for instance, is designed to record Skype voice and video calls. It
runs as a separate application, but uses a Skype plugin to synchronize the
recording actions so calls can be recorded automatically.

WebEx Meetings uses Java to download and run an appropriate app for the
Windows or OS X platform that you're using (there have been some issues
with OS X Lion). There are also apps for iOS, Android and BlackBerry
devices, although the capabilities vary. For example, iOS users can
participate in two-way video, but Android folks can only do this on a
tablet, not on a phone.
