I am coming into this discussion a bit late, but would love to update
the personas page with information I gathered researching personas
for my JA-SIG uCamp presentation (which is posted at: http://
wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/Presentations). I was going to
add a task for updating the Personas page as well as generally
reviewing the UX Toolkit, but see that Daphne already put a UX
Toolkit task (which I'm assuming includes personas) into this
iteration (which is assigned to Daphne in JIRA but Paul in the
spreadsheet) so I'll try to put some time into that along with
whichever one of them is working on it. :) If there are other folks
in the community who would like to work on these tasks, let us know
as we'd certainly welcome help.
And if anyone would like to take a crack at re-organizing the
presentations page (http://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/
Presentations) by topic, that would probably make it a bit more
usable. :)

I think it is great to include as long as it is correctly labeled and
described, so as not to be confused with actual personas.

I'm interested in whether or not other feels the description of
personas and how to create them is useful for the release. I see it
as an educational aspect of the UX Toolkit and in that sense is good
to have in the release. So in that sense perhaps we don't want to
remove personas from the description. Perhaps I'm reading too much
into it -- the expectation that the actual personas will be in the
release -- since we've been working on them.

This looks good Anastasia!
I think we should remove the personas from the description though.
We made good progress on them but they aren't in a state that
people outside the process will be able to make much sense of them
-- and the information isn't organized at all on the wiki (much
of
it isn't even up there yet). We've had other priorities trump that
work as we've gotten close to the release but hope to have draft
personas soon.
Daphne, thanks for reviewing the information.
Regarding personas: Currently, the Personas page in the wiki
( http://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/Personas
) is tagged for release - but I notice that it's only a description
of what a persona is, and why it's useful.
I'll take the mention of personas out of the overview, but this is a
good opportunity to double-check if that Personals wiki page is
still intended to be included in the documentation.
