Hello,

As you may know we have been basing our browser support on Yahoo's A- grade browser support.

http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/articles/gbs/index.html

At the end of January they updated their A-grade support. We held off updating right away. Now that 0.8 is out, it seems like a good point to change.

Please see the updated browser support, on the wiki.

The previous support browsers can still be found on the wiki.
http://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/Prior+Browser+Support

By comparing those two pages you can see that there are a couple of minor updates and a major one.

1) Safari updated from 3.1 to 3.2

2) Opera updated from 9.5 to 9.6

3) Firefox 3 support dropped from Windows 2000 and Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger)

4) Internet Explorer 8 added for Windows XP and Windows Vista

The important thing to note is that IE 8 has not yet been officially released. Currently our stance will be to have IE 8 support for only the final release and not any pre-release version. Meaning that we will only start testing in IE 8 once it is officially released.

Please let me know if you have any thoughts, concerns, questions.

Thanks
Justin
