Not to open a can of worms that I'm sure has been discussed here before. But, reading through some postings from a while back I am still unclear about Infusions portability to a gnu GPL license. Perhaps I didn't read to the end of the thread.

Is it possible for Infusion to be redistributed under a GPL license?

No cans of worms need be opened. The ECL isn't compatible with GPL, so that's why we added the BSD license, giving people the choice of preferred license. Here's what the Free Software Foundation says about the BSD license that we use:

"It is a simple, permissive non-copyleft free software license, compatible with the GNU GPL."

It's a highly permissive license, giving communities the flexibility to use Infusion and distribute their code using the license of their choice.
