I took a visit to the ICA yesterday and I just wanted to share a few things. They provide iPod nanos with audio pre-loaded at the entrance w/ earbuds. They also have a local phone number to call for audio commentary per object -- instead of carrying the iPod. And they also have the MP3s on their website for loading onto your own player. They also have a technology room http://www.icaboston.org/gofurther/ica-mediatheque/ that is a stadium seating room looking out onto Boston Harbor with iMacs in it. The interface is specific to the machine (i.e. it isn't a duplication of their website) and has separate functionality from their website. There are a number of interactive features there, but they are physically in a separate place from the collection. Just wanted to quickly share that -- if anyone has any questions, do let me know.
