Do you have any idea of how you intend to do this? I think that any lifestyle
management change to guava(FLUME-966) is going to depend on how configuration
is done, since services only run one cycle. If that lifecycle model were used,
it would be good if configuration produced a Supplier (
http://docs.guava-libraries.googlecode.com/git/javadoc/com/google/common/base/Supplier.html
), to generate configured components instead of pushing out a configured
component. This is however beyond the scope you describe for this issue.
