If this is what is causing the OutOfMemoryErrors during the build then I
suggest moving to something else. As I've mentioned elsewhere, the Flume
documentation is going to have to be compatible with infra requirements. In
the current scenario that would mean having buildbot invoke Maven to build the
web site. Infra is not going to look kindly at having to export a custom
MAVEN_OPTS for this.

I would suggest looking at some of the sites at
https://cms.apache.org/#bookmark for examples (i've been working on loggingtest
for the logging project). maventest is an example where Maven is used to build
the main site. The relevant information can be found at
http://www.apache.org/dev/cmsref, http://www.apache.org/dev/cms.html, and
http://www.apache.org/dev/project-site.html.
https://svn.apache.org/repos/infra/websites/cms/webgui/content/export.json
shows where the projects currently set up are mapped to in the svn repo. As an
example, you can see that maventest contains a pom.xml and the CMS will invoke
Maven whenever it detects changes in that subversion tree. OTOH, loggingtest
uses the CMS for the main site but then each of the logging sub projects is
built externally via Maven and then directly committed to the production site.
