Um, yes, it is a Beatles film but it wasn't done in collaboration with
Richard Lester. That was either "A Hard Day's Night" or "Help!" or both.
I can't right now remember.
"Magical Mystery Tour" was both produced and directed by The Beatles
themselves. The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band made an appearance in it towards
the end during a striptease sequence playing "Death Cab For Cutie".
Paul McCartney played a significant role (I think he produced their
recordings.) in the formative years of their "career". I don't know
what ever became of them.
