I have a copy of Foew&ombwhnw but had obviously not taken in that passage
carefully.
I shall continue to try to find some good examples of Satie's notes to
performers and the texts that appeared with the music - "texts not to be
read aloud" is I think what he called them.
Actually I really enjoyed yesterday's discussion and when I got home from
work immediately listened to
several Gnossiennes.
Sometimes I forget I have recordings of great music like that so it is a
pleasure to listen to them again
