and so, I looked at my last post and thought well I'm complaining about the
lack of Fluxus chat but what am I doing to encourage it....

so, what things interest me, well many but
in regard to Fluxus I'm fascinated by Something Else Press publications....I
have my own small collection of them which may grow if I win the lottery or
become a highwayman, what really intrigues me is the clever printing
techniques..
take Ray Johnson's " The Paper Snake"...it's printed in blue and brown ink
mostly and this gives the impression of a full colour book even though it's
just 2 colours with some overprinting. I read somewhere that Dick Higgins
worked out that this effect could be achieved.

Does anyone know of any book producers since who have employed similar
techniques...i.e. using simple printing techniques yet achieving a somewhat
magical effect? Or does anyone work at a printers where such things are
done?

One thing about Fluxus is an inventiveness despite limited
materials/resources and it is that approach that fascinates I believe.

Anyway, this is half-morning ramblings but it is about Fluxus so perhaps
someone else would wish to contribute in a similar vein if only to keep the
Flux in Fluxlist.

cheers,

Sol.
