the commodity--

that is so true--
I thought about your letter as today received a letter in the mail from a
15 year old girl in Romania--
she had seen works of mine at a mail art show there and wanted to
correspond--
I think that is freedom of exchange and has nothing to do with commodity--
we are overwhelmed by the commodiifcation of everything these days--
a mixture of commodification and codification--

do you do mail art?
I believe deeply in it as it is an exchange of works without money and so
on--
the Situationists and so many others have written of the commodity--
it alters perception--
away from the concrete to the image
