Subject: The Long Night of Audio, Video and Live Art 02 Umbrella is currently putting-together the second Long Night event (The Long Night 02) at The Canton labour Club, Cardiff this December. As such, we would be pleased if you forward the Call for Submissions to any interested parties via your email CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR: THE LONG NIGHT OF AUDIO, VIDEO AND LIVE ART 18/12/02 FROM 6pm-11pm Due to the success of last years The Long Night, The Umbrella Arts Group, Cardiff (Umbrella) is pleased to confirm this years event; The Long Night 02, a festival. The event will kick-off in Cardiff and via the expansive Umbrella network, two further exhibitions as video document are planned for Hull & London. The Venue Initially the work presented will be shown to a Cardiff-based audience at the now familiar Canton Labour Club, located directly opposite the Llandaff Road Studios in Cardiff. This alternative venue boasts �the largest video projection screen in Cardiff� and a sizable floor & stage area, perfect for large-screen video projections and performative works, audio works and special events. Submissions must be either: - Live art. - Video art on MINI DV, DVD, SVHS, VHS tape (short play) or CDR (PC Compatible Only), no more than 10 minutes in length. - Audio art on CD or Audio Tape Cassette no more than 10 minutes in length. Please Send: - Your submission. - A description of the artwork, its duration and any technical needs (one side A4 only) - An entry fee of �3, as check/money-order made payable to �Umbrella� - An SAE, if you are unable to collect your property in person.
