nope! it was already set to rgb + 8 bit - i turned off the colour management but i get really bright colours, even on the web compat. settings red looks pink(ish) i yse photoshop 7.0 i've gone through the colour managements options, but nothing seems to make a difference. all colours seem ok in paintshop pro - so the monitor is ok bah! thanks alan
