IMAGINE PEACE ~ A few days ago, in March 2003, ads by Yoko Ono started to appear in newspapers across the USA. They simply said : IMAGINE PEACE, and below they are signed 'Yoko Ono - 2003'
The original ads in USA papers initially carried her signature : she wanted to put her name on to express her committment and to encourage others by it. This page is an invitation to join in the peace campaign. But from this point on Yoko wishes her name to be omitted from the peace ad, since, she says, "it now belongs to all people." The text should only / simply read IMAGINE PEACE , and when appropriate for layout and to help carry the message further it could carry some suggestion for re-use at the bottom -such as is the case with posters.
