OK Fujita may have met me then, it sounds plausible. He had the beard and
the glasses right. As for leaving off the wax, I say NO. You might try it
just to placate him but my feeling is that the wax is one of the major
qualities of your work right now. Remember the old "raw" works, metal, etc.?
Not the same.
Tell him you've been there, done that. Ha! Weather here is something else.
