The Steppling Art Gallery at the Imperial Valley campus of San Diego State University, 720 Heber Ave., Calexico will be hosting this year’s annual fundraiser heArt & Sol 3 silent art auction on Thursday, February 10, 2005 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
All donated art work will be auctioned to support the Valley Arts Alliance (formerly the Imperial County Arts Council) and to promote the arts in Imperial County.The Steppling Gallery exhibition of heART & SOL 3 will be open to the public from Monday, Feb. 7 through the evening of the auction. The gallery will be open throughout the week from 6:00 to 7:30 PM with some additional afternoon hours.
Artists in the Imperial and Mexicali Valleys are invited to contribute works of art for the silent auction. The theme is one of “valentine” and all media are acceptable. Note that there is a size limitation of no more than ten inches for any dimension. Persons interested in donating art for the silent auction are invited to bring their art pieces to the Imperial Valley College art studio, Room 1306, or they may contact IVC art instructor Tom Gilbertson at 355-6364 to arrange for delivery.
