i tried glc on linux, which worked quite fine (http://nullkey.ath.cx/projects/glc/).On that note, is there any good freeware screen capture software? I haven't been able to find anything too reliable in the past.
in osx, you can try for example snapz pro. it's not freeware, but there is a trial version.
