IMHO contributions like yours could never be "spam".
The simple way to enable non-interested parties to filter out your
Fluxa work might be sticking to one mail subject per project, but
perhaps it's also a nice idea to consider creating a Git branch.
That's not so hard and it'll allow for automatic merging into the main
one once you are happy. You can also make changes to your local code
yet still merge in "official" updates.

For that you do need a account and access, which Dave is in charge of,
but it's the convenient way of contributing (and benefitting).
