Dear FME'ers,

Safe Software would like to present you with the opportunity to try out the new
addition to the FME Intergraph Suite - FME ArcSDE Editing for GeoMedia. FME
ArcSDE Editing for GeoMedia enables GeoMedia users to access and edit data that
resides in an ArcSDE environment.

Here's how the process works:

1. Browse: Connect to ArcSDE and view the data that you want to edit.

2. Check-Out: When you have identified the area and the themes that you
want to edit, you perform a check-out operation. This creates a local editable
copy of the ArcSDE data on your workstation. Editable data is stored
in a GeoMedia Access Warehouse.

3. Edit: You can now edit the data (add, delete, modify) within the
GeoMedia environment.

4. Check-In: When you have finished editing the data, you check the data
back into ArcSDE. During the check-in operation, FME Data Server for GeoMedia
determines what actually changed during the editing process and, if you
choose, can reconcile changes with the original data in ArcSDE. If your edits
conflict with changes from other users, then conflicts can be resolved
using ArcSDE conflict resolution tools.

This approach is synonymous with how ArcGIS editing works in a multi-user
ArcSDE environment. Each user works on their own version and at the end of the
edit, conflicts are detected and resolved.

To find out more, watch how FME ArcSDE Editing for GeoMedia works with GeoMedia
and ArcSDE in the movie on www.safe.com/intergraph.

Or, simply download and try the latest beta build of FME ArcSDE Editing for
GeoMedia from www.safe.com/tryit. You can provide us with feedback at [EMAIL

Enjoy and happy FME-ing!

Sincerely,

Safe Software
