Hi Group Just a brief message to let you know that I'm told DGN element id will be exposed in the next FME2005 build (probably build 1631 or greater) I haven't tested it yet so I'm not sure whether it includes writing the ID or just reading it.
It only applies for DGN v8 - as other people have pointed out any v7 IDs that exist are prone to change and only valid for a single point in time. Hope this is useful - let me know if any problems arise. Mark Mark Ireland, Product Support Engineer Safe Software Inc.
